Our Mission
Ensuring all pathways remain accessible and in service regardless of condition or construction phasing.
The SpanPath system can be used to avoid pedestrian detours while helping to promote compliance with accessibility guidelines such as Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG).
The SpanPath system may be placed over an existing pathway between construction or maintenance activities to ensure the pathway remains accessible and in service.
Meet Our Founder
Gevin McDaniel, P.E.
Gevin McDaniel, P.E. has over 25 years of design experience in structural and civil engineering. His career has been equally balanced between consulting and state government.
From 1998 to 2009, he served as a design consultant to many state departments of transportation and local agencies. In 2009, he joined the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) where he enjoyed his 13-year career as Senior Structural Engineer, State Standard Plans Engineer, and Roadway Design Criteria Administrator. Gevin worked with the great team at FDOT to implement numerous improvements to the Standard Plans, Standard Specifications, Structures Manual, and FDOT Design Manual.
He left the enjoyment of his position at FDOT in 2022 to focus on bringing his patented invention, SpanPath, to the marketplace to help save lives by improving accessibility, mobility, and safety for the most vulnerable road users.
